After a long 10 weeks of this Sprinter Van Conversion project, we are beginning to tie it all together with some decor and cabinetry! Now that our van is insulated, wired, framed and painted we are moving forward with the challenging task of building out our van life kitchen. We begin the week with receiving our beautiful walnut countertops, install our sink and stove and build a few drawers for under the main counter. We then move on to tiling our van and we have to say that the van's really started to feel like a home!

How Did We Get Here?
Abandoning our Van in Africa
After an incredible 3 years of living, working, and traveling in our self converted Sprinter Van we made the very tough decision to abandon it in Africa to take a rescue flight back to Canada. As it has for all of us this global pandemic has flipped our world upside down. When our Prime Minister announced that he was sending repatriation flights over to Africa to pick up Canadians who were stuck (due to border closures) we consulted with friends and family closest to us and realized that in this time of crisis we should be back in our home country. Halting our dream of driving around the world was a hard pill to swallow which is why we knew we needed a big project to keep our mind + body busy while social distancing back here in Toronto. Enter building an off-grid tiny house on wheels!! This is going to be our 3rd time converting an empty cargo van into a campervan and we are both excited and nervous to take on this project. We want this build to be the ULTIMATE OFF-GRID VAN 🚐

Not sure if you’ll see this now but I’m a new subscriber and just watched all your van making videos in order (looks amazing and I’m now addicted!!) and noticed from cutting the countertop for the sink and stove you had a lot of excess wood from that. Could you use that excess wood for more tabletop space? Like a foldout table or something like you mentioned to go outside the van? Just a suggestion can’t wait for the next video!

Possible simpler solution to shower besides the drip trays: magnets (or a magnetic strip) sewn into the bottom of the shower curtain, which snap onto magnets on the bottom or sides of the shower base.

1:59 Love the shower design but I couldn't get on with those stainless steel lips in the shower. I just know somehow that would end up hurting me. I'd have to replace it with some flexible plastic or something that would collapse if I tripped or fell on it.

Are you sure that fridge is 110L of space? Idk if they switched out the fridge link with another fridge but I ordered one through Dometic based on the link in this video and it was different then what it's linked to now. The fridge I got wasn't even big enough to hold a bottle of water and I was forced to send it back... What is the fridge model type of the fridge y'all went with? I bookmarked it and it sent me to this fridge: Then I went back to this video to check and going to the link sent me here: Idk if they're redirecting your link, but if so I figured I'd let you know so you could be more specific with the model types as the one I got was far from 110L as I was expecting... Anyway, I am enjoying the videos, keep up the good work.

We have of course been watching your journey with your new van and couldn’t help wondering what will happen to Trinity. We live in Spain (not too far from Morocco) and were wondering what fate awaits Trinity...we have been thinking of trading up Cyril (our concerted ford transit) for a while and wanted to ask whether you would be selling Trinity. If she was or will be on the market we would love so much to buy her and continue our van life journey with her! Please let us know if this could ever be a possibility, as we would love to be her new owners. Keep doing what your doing- we love your stuff! Rosië and Alvaro 🤟🏼

Hey guys just wondering, do you think it would be harder to be a vegan if you had a tree nut allergy? My family is not vegan but I’ve been wanting to slowly switch however my daughter had a severe tree nut allergy that requires an epi pen. If the only nut you could eat was peanut- would it make it extra hard? No almond anything. Or cashew. Or walnut. Or macadamia. Nothing but peanut.

There are simple cheap shower curtains with magnets stitched in the bottom to hold them in place. This might work well with the metal shower base and eliminate need for elaborate zipper shower curtain. One I had if I recall correctly, purchased at Target few years ago.

Just a suggestion but could you have made the drawer under the sink a bit different? Make the drawer in the shape of a "U" so you could gain extra space to the back of the wall on both sides. My brain on steroids and perhaps overthinking it. You always have a reason for doing everything lol and I am just watching from afar (St Catharines)...can almost wave !

I had two ideas to make your Van Life stealthier (for any van lifer) 1st idea 💡 have magnets on and around your large main outside window. Create a Vinyl sign of your fictitious company that fits your window. Possibly create a website for this fictitious company. Maybe it could be one of the affiliate companies that you represent like for example Herbal Life. 2nd idea 💡 I am sure you have been behind a U-Haul truck at one point or another. I have seen the U-Haul truck where the door is painted with a 3D view of inside the "empty" van. I was thinking you could have something like that created as a foldable plastic insert instead of your cab draw curtains for night time use only. When someone simply looks through your driver window they would see an empty van. Now, the folds would need to be around the driver and passenger section so the folds would be invisible. What do you think of the ideas? ☺️ I enjoy watching your channel. Enjoy a Beautiful, Safe, and Abundant 2020. ☺️ ❤️
